Duck Shack
Friday 26th May 2023.
The Duck Shack opened on 16 May near St Sampsons Square, where the café Duo Eatery used to be, serving Hong Kong roast meats.

Li, who is originally from China, and Andy Jiang, who has been catering for the last 16 years, own the restaurant after living in York for six years. Their combined experience makes them more than qualified to provide tasty Hong Kong delicacies.

Li has a master’s degree in marketing and also studied at The University of York, making the city of York a big part of her life.

The Duck Shack serves roast duck, crispy pork belly, soy, and roast chicken with boiled, or fried rice, or noodles. The meat is regularly eaten but this is, “marinated and roasted in a really traditional Chinese way.”

The Duck Shack welcomes everyone and is open every day of the week from 10 am till late, providing take in and takeaway.
