As I Studied at York St John University I came to York with a lack of knowledge of the local cuisines or where to eat. With a passion for tastes from around the world, finding tasteful dishes in York became a quest for me in first year.

I made this website to cover all news food related, in terms of new openings, new closures, expansions and refurbishments. The coverage of food news on hyper local sites are either quite brief or over explained. 

 

It is also designed to provide new locals, and new students information and ideas on where to eat, which in turn supports independent and local businesses that are crucial to York's tourism.

I chose to cover Food News in York because of my passion for the city having been here since 2020.
